In order to prepare for the filming of our A2 media coursework, we created a whole class music video. We then separated into groups to edit the footage. My edit can be seen above.
All together I think the edit is successful, it meets the requirements of a music video, such as multiple locations, a range of camera types and angles and a live performance throughout. The edit is also fast paced, with some of the cuts occurring to the beat of the music.
Additionally I think the footage we were provided with was sufficient. We shot the full track in 5 locations, which made it much easier to edit, as we only had to cut the tracks and rearrange the layers.

However I think the music video could have been made better if we had more time. If this was the case then I would have changed improved the sync point of all the tracks, fine-tuning it until it was accurate. Additionally I would, time allowing, improve the cuts, making sure they are all on the beat of the music. This would have given the video a more professional look. Finally if I had more time I should have included and filmed more cutaways to give a narrative to the storyline. This would have made the sequence reach a higher grade, as this is a typical convention of a music video.
